Emergencies

In the event of an emergency with your pet please head straight to the surgery. If you can, please phone us to let us know you are on your way. This allows us to prepare for your arrival and means we can greet you and your pet straight away.

If you are not sure how to respond to your pet in an emergency situation, phone us. We can give you information over the phone about moving your pet safely, and providing emergency first aid if necessary. If your pet has an emergency out of hours, please head straight to Petmedics in Worsley. Contact details are below.

We will always see emergencies as priority over routine appointments during our normal working hours. If possible please telephone us before coming down to the surgery. This helps us to prepare for your arrival more efficiently, alerting the vet to your imminent arrival and preparing any necessary equipment or medication.

We thank you in advance for your understanding if an emergency disrupts your appointment time. We will always try to keep you informed of any delays to your consultation. As pet owners ourselves, we understand that an emergency must be our vet’s first priority over non-urgent appointments, and know our clients appreciate this for their own pets in the same situation.

Further information about our routine services can be found here.

When we are closed Petmedics provide our out-of-hours cover. You can contact them by telephoning 0161 794 4999, but don’t worry, their number is also on our answerphone message when we are closed.
